The National Reconnaissance Office satellite was successfully launched aboard a Titan IV-B rocket from Vandenberg AFB, Calif. Oct 5 at 2:21 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time.
"This was yet another outstanding effort by the NRO government-contractor team," said Col. Stephen Wojcicki, director of the NRO's Office of Space Launch and mission director for this launch.
The Titan IV-B was launched from Vandenberg's Launch Complex 4 East.
