As a matter of policy, the NRO will post on this page, records released as a result of a FOIA or Mandatory Declassification Review (MDR) request that may be of interest to the general public and/or records requested by three or more individuals for the same subject.

This list is composed of the names of NRO assignees. The names of employees are protected under the third exemption of the FOIA, which provides for the withholding of information specifically protected from disclosure by statute. The specific statute application in this case is 10 U.S.C. 424, which allows for the protection of the names of NRO assignees, as well as the functions and activities of the Agency.
