The NRO is a member of the Partnerships in Education Program, which can be found all across
the United States. The program's goal is to
form dynamic, continuing partnerships among
education, business and community groups. The
desire to increase student achievement and prepare
young people for life and work in the 21st Century
is at the heart of the program.
The NRO joined the Partnerships in Education
Program in 1994 to help local elementary students
improve their math and science skills. NRO employees

The NRO partnership objectives primarily are:

- to increase student interest in math and
science through extra curricular activities
- to improve student grades in math and science
Also, through a local community program, NRO
employees donated grocery receipts to an elementary
school to help acquire new computers and equipment
such as:
- 1 Power Mac 6500 and software
- 1 Power Mac 5500 and software
