If individuals are nominated, but not chosen, are they eligible for future consideration?

Yes, they are eligible. We have not yet resolved the question of whether re-nomination would be necessary.

Can I fax my nomination in?

Yes, Fax unclassified nominations to (703) 808-8760; classified nominations must be faxed to (703) 808-1239.

How long can the nomination be?

Nominations must be no longer than one, single-spaced page.

May I nominate myself?

Yes, anyone may nominate any eligible candidate.

Who may not be nominated?

Because they have already been recognized for their contributions, the Director, NRO has requested that the following former directors, deputy directors, and program directors not be nominated for the Pioneer Recognition Program.

If I submit a nomination containing classified information, will it be edited to make it unclassified?

Nominations will not be edited before the candidate is considered by the Pioneer Selection Board and the DNRO. After the Pioneers are chosen, their contributions will be edited so they may be presented at a public ceremony.

Is there a limit to the number of people an individual can nominate?
