CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT TERREL A. WILLIAMS
Senior Enlisted Advisor

Chief Master Sergeant Terrel A. Williams was appointed in January 2009 as the Senior Enlisted Advisor, National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), Chantilly, Virginia. His previous assignment was as the Senior Enlisted Leader at the Defense Information Systems Agency/Global Operations, Arlington, VA. As Senior Enlisted Advisor, he provides the Director of the National Reconnaissance Office (DNRO) and senior staff an enlisted perspective on strategic issues. Chief Williams conveys the DNRO's strategic vision and priorities, oversees the professional development, military readiness, and mission effectiveness of Joint service enlisted members assigned to the NRO in numerous locations across the globe.

The Chief entered the Air Force in 1984. During his 25-year career he has served as a Materiel Facilities Specialist, Supply Systems Analyst, First Sergeant, and Communications-Computer Systems Control Specialist. Chief Williams assignment locations include Randolph AFB, Texas; Lowery AFB, Denver, Colorado; Andersen AFB, Guam; Rhein Mein AB, Germany; Travis AFB, California; Elmendorf AFB, Anchorage, Alaska; Langley AFB, Virginia; and the Defense Information Systems Agency/Joint Task Force-Global Network Operations, Arlington, Virginia. He has also deployed to various locations in Southwest Asia in support of Operations SOUTHERN WATCH, ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM.

Among the many awards and decorations received by Chief Williams' during his 25-year Air Force career are the Meritorious Service Medal with Three Oak Leaf Clusters, the Air Force Commendation Medal with Three Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Achievement Medal with Two Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Service Star, the Southwest Asia Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon with Gold Border. He has also been recognized as Airman of the Year and First Sergeant of the Year.

Chief Master Sergeant Terrel A. Williams holds an Associate's Degree in Applied Science, Information Systems and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management both from Wayland Baptist University. He is currently enrolled in the MBA program at TUI University. He is a native of San Antonio, Texas.
