This year the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) marks its 60th anniversary. From its inception Sept. 6, 1961, NRO has leveraged its incredible intelligence collection capabilities to meet new challenges faced by the nation by continuing to develop exquisite intelligence gathering systems to protect the U.S. and its citizens.
