Chief Master Sgt. Tina Timmerman is the Senior Enlisted Leader at the National Reconnaissance Office in Chantilly, Virginia, representing the highest level of enlisted leadership. The National Reconnaissance Office is responsible to the Secretary of Defense and Director of National Intelligence for research, development, acquisition, launch and operation of overhead reconnaissance capabilities providing the foundation for global situational awareness and responses to the nation’s toughest intelligence challenges.

Chief Timmerman is the principal advisor to the Director, Deputy Director and Senior Staff on military readiness, professional development and mission effectiveness of the organization’s joint enlisted personnel assigned at numerous locations across the globe.

Chief Timmerman enlisted in the U.S. Air Force as a Space Systems Operator in 1996 and transitioned to the U.S. Space Force in 2020. During her career, Chief Timmerman has built extensive leadership experience by holding positions at squadron, group, wing, and MAJCOM levels. Her space experience span multiple mission areas to include ground-based missile warning, command and control, space control operations, acquisitions, MAJCOM functional manager, and Air Operation Center positions. As a First Sergeant, she expanded her management skills that readied her to lead members at the service, joint and combatant command levels. Chief Timmerman has deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Prior to her current leadership position, Chief Master Sgt. Timmerman served as Senior Enlisted Leader for Space Training and Readiness Delta (Provisional) – Peterson AFB, Colorado.
