Westfields welcomes new senior enlisted leader

The National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) welcomes Chief Master Sgt. Tina R. Timmerman as the senior enlisted leader at NRO headquarters in Chantilly, Virginia. Chief Timmerman takes over for recently retired Chief Master Sgt. Michelle Jackson as a principal advisor to NRO senior leadership.

Chief Timmerman is responsible for military readiness, workforce utilization, professional development, and mission effectiveness for the NRO’s joint enlisted personnel assigned at numerous locations across the globe. Chief Timmerman most recently served as the senior enlisted leader of Space Training and Readiness Delta (Provisional), headquartered at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado.

Chief Timmerman enlisted in the United States Air Force in January 1996 as a space systems operator. She graduated from American Military University in 2016 with a degree in Space Studies. Her background includes positions in leadership, ground-based missile warning, command and control, space control operations, and acquisitions. She also served as Major Command functional manager and in Air Operation Center positions, as well as assignments at bases in California, Alaska, Colorado, New Mexico, Qatar, and Hawaii. She has also deployed in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
